WE NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE!

JUNE 2010

WE ARE CURRENTLY DESPERATELY IN NEED OF DRY FOOD TO FEED THE ANIMALS IN OUR CARE
PLEASE CALL SURA URGENTLY! 082 9263629

Arranging a R20 a month stop order can save lives! Please, we need your help!

We always need  Echinacea, Vitamin C tablets, Cat Litter, new / used bath sheets or large towels, cat baskets, cat traps, dry dog and cat food.

The purpose of Capetonians Against Animal Abuse to is raise awareness of animal related issues such as sentience, cruelty, abandonment and care of animals and to educate the public regarding feral cat colonies and the need we have for them in and around Cape Town. In this way we hope to reduce the apathy and sometime downright cruelty and abuse suffered by all animals through the actions of humans.

In caring for the so-called 'strays' we  try to right the many wrongs perpetrated on domestic animals.

In practical terms, ferals and strays are caught, neutered, returned, fed and other care is provided for over 300 stray and abandoned animals in Cape Town, including Brooklyn, Paarden Eiland, Dunoon, Durbanville, Phisantekraal and assistance is given to several smaller organisations with funding and food. Pensioners also receive help with feeding and care for their animals in these areas, where possible. Cats are returned to their colonies, as simply rounding them up, and killing them, results in other colonies taking over the 'empty' space. We have a no-kill policy.
